One-Year-Bible

Happy New Year! As we look into the New Year I thought it would be awesome to start the first Sunday of the year reading the Bible through together. Psalm 119:11 says, “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” Below is a plan (not original just one from the internet) and we can follow it all year. This is not meant to replace anything you have used over the years or your favorite devotional but it will keep each of us reading the same scriptures and we can say that together as a church we read through the Bible together. I realize that some of the readings will be dry and monotonous especially when we read genealogies, lists, numbers, and names of people. I also realize that we will come upon passages of scriptures that seem to make little sense to us today and wonder what we can gain from these passages. When we come upon these passages just remember that what Timothy tells us “16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
