“Do to others as you would have them do to you” – Luke 6:31

This is easy to comprehend, yet much harder to actually put into practice. This verse seems so easy to put into practice throughout your life, but it really isn’t. I think many times in life, do unto others as you would have them do to you; turns into do unto others what they do to you. These are two totally different things. Everyone has bad things that are done to them, and most times we look for some way to get back at that person, but that doesn’t solve anything. I know that when you try to get revenge, things don’t go well, but when you treat the other person with kindness and respect, things tend to work out. This topic comes to mind for me because I feel that it comes up many times in everyone’s life, especially mine; so being in constant thought about treating people with kindness and love can help you out so much. This in turn will allow you, yourself, to be treated in a much better way.
