Show a gentle attitude toward everyone.  The Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking Him with a thankful heart. – Philippians 4:5-6

Worry has always been a stumbling block for me in my walk with God.  I know worry is a sin.  I’ve been told that “if you pray, don’t worry and if you worry don’t pray.”  I can’t imagine not praying. I talk to God a lot; at night, in the morning, when I’m driving, when I’m stressed, when I’m happy and when I’m sad.  I talk to God like we’re best friends sitting in the car together, discussing the needs and joys of my family and friends, my Church family and all the problems that are going on in the world today.  The need is so great!  I always thank God for all that He has done in my life.  I have a wonderful husband, two very special sons, a daughter-in-law, granddaughter and a great-granddaughter, in addition to all of our extended family and friends.  God is good!  I will continue to seek God’s guidance in all that I say and do.  I’m sure glad God doesn’t get tired of me giving all my problems to Him.  Let go and let God!  I always ask God to help me accept His will for my life.  Then I try really hard not to worry!

This note was in a birthday card I received, a long time ago, from some dear friends.

GOOD MORNING, THIS IS GOD!!!

I will be handling all your problems today.

I will not need your help—-so,

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!

Remember – I care for you!
